Chet Baker – Alone Together

I started the « Jazz & Blues Poster » series with Mississippi John Hurt’s , with the idea that there was very little blues poster that existed.
Jazz, through the numerous covers of the different labels, has always had a more artistic and illustrative dimension.

In this serie of posters, at first it was all about focusing only on the bluesmen, and then I fell in love with Chet Baker and this sublime 1977 photo by Deborah Feingold.
A mixture of nostalgia, sweetness, an invitation to travel with this allegory of the window open to the world.

The style of Chesney Henry Baker Jr. aka « Chet Baker » is to bathe the listener in delicacy, almost sensual fragility while not knowing when the break-up will come.

As with blues artists, all I had to do was picking my pencil and pay tribute to this legendary artist as best I could.
